Find a concession on your route
The City publishes the named concession addresses below. Use the map search to locate the destination, then check the stand itself or the City directory for operation. A listed address does not mean the counter is open today. City concession directory.
The park dining directory also lists a totem-pole concession at the Brockton visitor area. It can fit an eastern sightseeing stop, but should not be the only meal plan for a long circuit. Park dining information.
Seasonal opening and a useful backup
Most City concessions operate seasonally and weather permitting. Before leaving, choose a fallback: packed food, a confirmed restaurant, or a meal near your exit. In the cooler months, do not extend a walk solely because you expect the next stand to be serving.
For the central park, Bicycle Bistro is another City-listed casual option. Treat cafes and concessions as individual businesses or facilities; one opening does not establish that the others are operating.
What to budget for quick food
For rough budget context, the City’s shared concession menu currently lists a jumbo hot dog at C$6.50, a veggie burger at C$11.25 and one-piece fish and chips at C$16.50. These are published examples checked October 16, 2026; the local menu, availability and final price at the counter govern.
A drink and snack for several people can become a substantial part of a day’s spending. If budget matters, pack the main picnic and use a stand for an optional extra instead of depending on a particular low-price item.
Picnics, drinking water and waste
Bring a filled water bottle and use the drinking-water map for refills. Buying food does not solve every water or toilet need along a forest route.
Choose a permitted picnic area and leave it ready for the next visitor. Pack out waste if a bin is unavailable, keep food away from wildlife, and check reservation rules for an organized gathering rather than assuming a shelter is available for private use.
