Where to plan a toilet stop
Use the named locations below to decide where to start and where to pause. The list is a planning shortlist, not a live inventory of every washroom. Beach facilities are confirmed by the City; the Pavilion details come from Stanley Park Ecology’s programme information, and the Prospect Point picnic site is listed with washrooms by the City.
At the Pavilion, Ecology describes one wheelchair-accessible washroom and two gendered washrooms reached by stairs. Locate the appropriate entrance before committing to a trail. Read the Pavilion facility notes.
Find drinking water and bottle refills
Use the City drinking-fountain map for an actual water location, rather than assuming that a toilet or concession has a working bottle filler. The City says mapped positions are approximate and that updates can lag real conditions. The City water-access page also explains seasonal installations.
Start with a filled bottle. A refill point is useful backup, not a reason to start a long outing without water. Do not treat lake water, ornamental water or a stream as a drinking-water source.
Winter water access and facility hours
Ecology’s 2025/26 visitor information identifies two fountains near the Pavilion and says they are turned off during winter. A summer photograph or a fountain icon therefore does not establish winter availability. Carry enough water for the outing you have chosen.
The City’s general park guidance is dawn-to-dusk washroom availability, subject to facility notices. A sunset beach visit can finish after that window. Use facilities before the final stop and allow time to return; do not assume restaurant toilets will be available when the restaurant is closed.
Access needs and gaps on forest routes
The City’s Beaver Lake walking guide identifies no washrooms or drinking fountains in the immediate lake area. Use the Pavilion-area stop before starting the Beaver Lake route. If a toilet is essential at short notice, choose a compact outing near a known facility instead.
For family groups, distinguish a toilet from a verified changing facility; we have not confirmed an adult changing table at every location. For a closed or unsuitable facility, use the official map or ask park staff rather than extending into an unfamiliar trail in search of one.
