Stanley Park Hours and Costs

Plan opening hours and costs around the experience, not just the park gate. A garden walk, a pool session and an Aquarium visit have different schedules and budgets.

Park hours and facility hours

The City lists general park access as 6am–10pm unless posted otherwise, with park washrooms generally available dawn to dusk. This is not a promise that every building, concession or attraction is open for that entire period. City park information.

Make your earliest closing stop the anchor of the day. If a restaurant booking follows a walk, include the journey from the trail to the restaurant, not only time at the viewpoint. Parking hours are payment rules, not permission to use a closed facility.

What you can do without an admission ticket

Choose a short walk, a garden visit or beach sightseeing for an outing without a general park admission ticket. Your costs can still include transport, parking and food. Do not confuse free beach access with admission to the separate Second Beach Pool.

If your group has different budgets, agree on the paid activity before leaving. Someone who wants a free outdoor afternoon should not discover halfway through that the plan depends on attraction tickets.

Plan your budget by outing

Use the table as a budget worksheet. Replace each component with the current price for your actual party and date. Parking includes dated car rates; concessions includes a few published menu examples. The restaurant guide helps you place a meal near your route.

Compare the whole outing rather than the lowest individual ticket. Bringing a picnic may make a longer beach stop practical; a reserved meal may be the main event rather than an extra squeezed between two activities.

Seasonal facilities and booking decisions

For pool visits, begin with the dated pool status; a previous summer’s session list does not confirm next season. For the Aquarium, select the actual visit date on the operator’s site before finalizing other plans.

Keep a substitute that does not require the same booking. Our half-day forest-and-gardens itinerary can work without a ticketed attraction, subject to trail access and weather.

Sources and current information

Check current operating details with the responsible operator. A source-review date does not claim an on-site visit; older route references do not establish current access.
