About Ferguson Point
The City describes a wartime artillery-battery history at Ferguson Point and identifies the Teahouse building as a former garrison. The beach setting and upper headland offer different experiences: a shoreline stop, a viewpoint pause or a meal. Do not treat them as one flat site.
Finding the right arrival point
Use a destination-specific search for Ferguson Point or the Teahouse. For a beach-led visit, consult Third Beach and its parking instead. A walking connection between levels can add effort, particularly when returning uphill after a meal or sunset.
What to check before visiting
Check current closures before depending on a coastal approach. Choose daylight for a first visit if you need to judge slopes and surfaces. Restaurant service, concession service and access to outdoor paths have separate operating arrangements.
Combine this stop with nearby places
Combine a short stop with the Teahouse if you have a reservation, or plan beach time and a seasonal snack. If the group prefers less walking, choose one level as the main outing and keep the other as an optional extra.
