About The Port of Vancouver Lookout

The City lists the Port of Vancouver monument as interpretation explaining port landmarks. Use it as a place to orient yourself to the harbour from the park. The name refers to the British Columbia port, not the separate Port of Vancouver in Washington State.

Finding the right arrival point

Find the Brockton Point cluster on the park map. The lighthouse is a useful nearby landmark, while the upper viewpoint at Prospect Point is on a different part of the peninsula. Choose the right destination before setting a meeting point.

What to check before visiting

Bring a layer for a waterfront stop and keep the path open for passing visitors. This guide does not promise particular ships, wildlife or clear views on any given day. If viewing activity on the water is your priority, leave room for weather and visibility in the plan.

Combine this stop with nearby places

Combine the lookout with Brockton Point Lighthouse, the totem poles or the Nine O’Clock Gun. Choose a few eastern stops rather than adding the entire seawall solely because it appears as one continuous line on a map.

Check current operating details with the responsible operator. A source-review date does not claim an on-site visit; older route references do not establish current access.
