About Stanley Park Ecology Nature House on Lost Lagoon

The operator describes wildlife exhibits, specimens, activities and a small gift shop. General admission is free, with donations appreciated. It is a useful start to an ecology-focused walk when it is open, rather than a full-day indoor replacement for the Aquarium.

Finding the right arrival point

Locate the entrance beneath the Chilco/Alberni viewing area rather than assuming the street-level plaza is the interior entrance. The operator identifies paid parking by the tennis courts and north Denman area, with bus connections nearby. Add the final path to your arrival plan.

What to check before visiting

At the October 17, 2026 check, the dedicated visitor page listed weekends 10am–4pm for September–June and daily 10am–4:30pm for July–August. It also describes an unpaved approach and November–February flood barriers that make wheelchair access difficult. Confirm both opening and access for your date.

Combine this stop with nearby places

Start a Lost Lagoon Path outing here or check the operator’s current guided programmes. A past event listing is not a new tour departure. For a longer park plan, compare the half-day itinerary, keeping time for the Nature House’s actual closing hour.

Sources and current information

Check current operating details with the responsible operator. A source-review date does not claim an on-site visit; older route references do not establish current access.
