Stanley Park Tennis Courts: Booking & Casual Play

Stanley Park has both casual-use tennis courts and a six-court bookable operation. Choose the arrangement you need before travelling with equipment; a general court pin does not guarantee an immediately free court.

About Stanley Park Tennis Courts

The City’s tennis guidance distinguishes the six reserved Stanley Park courts from ordinary first-come play. Tennis BC Hub’s booking page identifies its six lower courts and provides date-based reservations. Use the booking operator for that group of courts rather than assuming the whole complex follows one system.

Finding the right arrival point

Find the court bank by Lagoon Drive and the southwest recreation area on the park map. Allow time to locate your specific booked court. The nearby dog area, golf course and restaurant are useful orientation points but have different entrances and rules.

What to check before visiting

For casual play, the City limits a session to 30 minutes including warm-up when others are waiting. It specifies non-marking shoes and reserves the courts for tennis; the courts are not lit for evening play. Check booking terms and any event use before choosing a late start.

Combine this stop with nearby places

A meal at Stanley Park Brewing or a Lost Lagoon walk can follow play. Keep bags and pets out of the playing area. If a court is unavailable, choose another activity rather than entering a booked court or assuming a restaurant reservation includes sports access.

Sources and current information

Check current operating details with the responsible operator. A source-review date does not claim an on-site visit; older route references do not establish current access.
