About Lions Gate Bridge
The Prospect Point lookout provides an upper park viewpoint associated with the bridge. The shoreline below and the bridge approaches are separate levels. A bridge photograph on a map does not tell you how much climbing or connecting travel is required.
Finding the right arrival point
For a viewpoint visit, navigate to Prospect Point rather than letting a car route put you onto the bridge. For walking or cycling travel, use the regional transport map and current approach information. The park’s seawall cycling rules do not describe every rule or connection on the bridge itself.
What to check before visiting
A crossing is a transport outing, not a short extension to every park walk. Account for your return destination, weather, traffic exposure and the needs of your group. This guide does not provide a measured accessible bridge-crossing itinerary or guarantee that all approach paths are open.
Combine this stop with nearby places
For a shorter plan, combine the upper lookout with the picnic area. To view the lower maritime setting, consult Prospect Point Lighthouse and current coastal access first. Keep a single main destination when daylight is limited.
